The red wine Bacicolo Toscana Rosso IGT, vintage 2020 from the winery Il Colombaio di Santa Chiara has been rated in 2023 by Othmar Kiem & Simon Staffler with 92 Falstaff points. It is a wine made from the grape variety Cabernet Franc from the region Tuscany in Italy.
Dense ruby red, delicately brighter at the edges. On the nose, raspberry, strawberry confit, green bell pepper and liquorice, with cocoa powder in the background, as well as subtle hints of incense. On the palate, noble roasted flavours, well integrated tannins, juicy, ripe fruit, also subtle hints of mint. With elegant and fine-grained tannins, it is an exciting wine.
