The red wine Fogo Amarone della Valpolicella DOCG, vintage 2020 from the winery Il Monte Caro has been rated in 2025 by Othmar Kiem, Simon Staffler with 89 Falstaff points. It is a wine made from the grape varieties Corvina, Corvinone, Rondinella from the region Mezzane di Sotto in Italy.
Intense ruby red with purple hints. Not very precise on the nose at first, then aromas of very ripe plum, saddle leather, forest floor and pepper appear. Full-bodied on the palate, with slightly jammy fruit, unfortunately though, it is unbalanced overall and somewhat coarse.
