The red wine Cepparello IGT, vintage 2008 from the winery Isole e Olena has been rated in 2012 with 94 Falstaff points. It is a wine made from the region Tuscany in Italy.
Vivid ruby colour. Very intense and dense nose, full of ripe dark cherry and blackberry, lovely underlay with spicy notes, an exciting bouquet. Powerful opening on the palate, rich, with grippy and gripping tannins, building powerfully, then becomes quite brittle and bold on the finish, but could improve significantly with further ageing. It seems a little nervous at the moment.
