Full ruby red with a dark core and purple rim. Initially restrained, but very elegant on the nose, with aromas of white pepper, cassis, cranberry pie, clove and some tobacco on the finish. Elegance on the palate too, with an interplay of lively freshness and dense, firm tannins, very well-integrated alcohol and dark berry fruit on the long finish.
