The red wine Terrasses du Larzac AOP Matissat, vintage 2016 from the winery La Pèira has been rated in 2020 by Peter Moser with 95 Falstaff points. It is a wine made from the grape variety Mourvèdre from the region Languedoc-Roussillon in France.
Strong ruby, violet tints, broad bright rim. With delicate herbal savouriness underlying red forest berry bouquet, delicate vanilla, some nougat and tobacco underlay, overall still a little shy nose. Juicy, elegant, sweet extract, ripe plums, fine Mourvèdre aromas, mineral and long lasting, already accessible, candied orange zest on the finish, will benefit from further bottle ageing, already very well embedded muscle, no trace of heat, very well balanced.
