Very ripe on the nose: fig, chocolate truffles, iodine undertones, crumbly silky palate with a small hint of grainy extract reserves, rather discreet acidity, old-fashioned opulence, well-controlled alcohol, nerve and minerality carry the mild flow into the finish. Archetypal Rioja classicism.
