Tasting Notes

90+
Tasting from 11.07.2017: Ulrich Sautter

Initial maturity on the nose with chocolate and nut nougat notes as well as almost truffly aromas. Melting palate at the beginning, round and soft at the beginning and then slightly rejuvenating on the palate with a crumbly graininess in the tannin, juicy with surprisingly mild acidity considering the vintage, mineral undertones and a long-lasting, spicy juiciness on the finish. Should continue to refine for a few more years and then remain on its maturity plateau for a long time.
