The red wine »Alte Rebe« Saalhausen Steillage Zweigelt trocken, vintage 2017 from the winery Landesweingut Kloster Pforta has been rated in 2020 by Ulrich Sautter with 89 Falstaff points. It is a wine made from the grape variety Zweigelt from the region Saale-Unstrut in Germany.
Slightly mature aromas of nougat, fig, slightly hot fruit, plum and some ester. In the mouth there's high density and gripping extract, allied to nervy, fresh tannins and a slightly salty edge. There's very good length, both structurally and in the palate fruit.
