The red wine Saalhausen Spätburgunder trocken, vintage 2018 from the winery Landesweingut Kloster Pforta has been rated in 2020 by Ulrich Sautter with 90 Falstaff points. It is a wine made from the grape variety Spätburgunder from the region Saale-Unstrut in Germany.
Very savoury on the nose: medicinal tones, menthol, heart cherry, herbal notes and black pepper. In the mouth there's very dense tannins with a fine grain. It's slightly dry, but with a rich background of ethereal savouriness and a viscous extract.
