The red wine Vino Nobile di Montepulciano Riserva DOCG, vintage 2016 from the winery Le Bertille has been rated in 2022 by Othmar Kiem, Simon Staffler with 91 Falstaff points. It is a wine made from the grape varieties Sangiovese, Canaiolo from the region Tuscany in Italy.
Ruby red with garnet rim. Presents dark fruity notes of ripe blackberries and plums on the nose, followed by undergrowth and bay leaf, spruce resin and cold coffee on the aftertaste. Juicy on the palate initially, powerful, fine-grained, slightly angular tannins, becomes slightly bitter on the mid-palate, chestnut notes on the finish.
