The red wine Baudana Barolo DOCG, vintage 2012 from the winery Luigi Baudana has been rated in 2016 by Othmar Kiem with 94 Falstaff points. It is a wine made from the grape variety Nebbiolo from the region Piedmont in Italy.
Bright, flinty ruby. Finely marked, inviting nose with notes of raspberry, fresh rose petals, fine liquorice in the background. On the palate lots of dark berry fruit, finely matured, some leather, opens with dense, sturdy tannin, giving the wine depth and length; a rich drive on the finish.
