The red wine Evocatus Taurasi Riserva DOCG, vintage 2018 from the winery Macchie Santa Maria Cantine has been rated in 2024 by Othmar Kiem, Simon Staffler with 92 Falstaff points. It is a wine made from the grape variety Aglianico from the region Campania in Italy.
Rich, deep ruby red with a brightening rim. Phenolic initial nose with red fruits, especially wild berries, followed by orange peel and pepper. Juicy, full-bodied palate, well-integrated but clear tannins, dense and savoury through to the finish. Give it some more time!
