The red wine Terrassenlage Spätburgunder, vintage 2018 from the winery Maibachfarm has been rated in 2021 by Ulrich Sautter with 93 Falstaff points. It is a wine made from the region Ahr in Germany.
Blueberry, ripe and "warm" in appearance, some herbs, subtle caramel from the wood. On the palate it shows with a full dose of mellow tannin and a powerful structure, which is kept in balance by well-integrated acidity and striking minerality. Supple in the background - when the tannins have matured (even further), this promises to be plump with an extra portion of substance.
