The red wine Chianti Classico DOCG Gran Selezione Badia a Passignano, vintage 2011 from the winery Marchesi Antinori has been rated in 2016 by Othmar Kiem with 92 Falstaff points. It is a wine made from the grape varieties Sangiovese from the region Chianti classico in Italy.
Bright ruby with a fine garnet sheen. Opens with notes of bay leaf and orange peel, then lots of cherry, some blackberry, savory. Round and supple on the palate, showing lots of sweet fruit, unfolds with polished, fine-meshed tannins, long finish.
