The red wine Brunello di Montalcino Pian delle Vigne DOCG, vintage 2013 from the winery Marchesi Antinori has been rated in 2018 by Othmar Kiem with 93 Falstaff points. It is a wine made from the grape variety Sangiovese from the region Tuscany in Italy.
Vibrant rich ruby. Finely drawn nose with aromas of cherries and fresh plums, some cinnamon in the background. Round and powerful on the palate, showing lots of ripe berryish fruit, hints of raspberry and plum, opens with grippy, dense tannin, firm drive on the finish.
