The red wine Brunello di Montalcino Pian delle Vigne DOCG, vintage 2014 from the winery Marchesi Antinori has been rated in 2019 by Othmar Kiem, Simon Staffler with 90 Falstaff points. It is a wine made from the grape variety Sangiovese from the region Tuscany in Italy.
Brilliant ruby with a fine garnet sheen. Appealing nose with notes of liquorice and dark chocolate, then lots of cherry and plum. Beautiful juicy fruit at the start, then unfolds with grippy tannins, unfortunately becoming increasingly dry as it progresses.
