The white wine Capellanía Reserva Rioja DOCa, vintage 2011 from the winery Marqués de Murrieta has been rated in 2016 by Ulrich Sautter with 92 Falstaff points. It is a wine made from the region La Rioja in Spain.
Hazelnut and nougat, but also a first ripeness, spicy-mineral, saffron, glowing iron and intensely fruity: blueberry. Silky and elegant on the palate, delicate with a subtle thread of acidity, a layer of melted tannin and matching melting in the background. A modern interpretation of the Reserva style, less oxidative and more focused on smoothness, with a culinary approach and plenty of inconspicuously packaged extract. Concentrated fruit on the finish.
