The red wine Barolo Parafada DOCG, vintage 2010 from the winery Vigna Rionda Massolino has been rated in 2014 with 95 Falstaff points. It is a wine made from the grape variety Nebbiolo from the region Barolo in Italy.
Clear, dark ruby colour with garnet rim. Initially somewhat restrained on the nose, then a hint of wax, sealing wax, then cranberry and raspberry. Surprisingly supple on the palate, showing lots of dark fruit, opens up with savoury, grippy tannins, beautiful texture on the finish, slightly resinous components.
