The red wine Roero Riserva Roche d'Ampsej DOCG, vintage 2012 from the winery Matteo Correggia has been rated in 2016 by Othmar Kiem with 93 Falstaff points. It is a wine made from the grape variety Nebbiolo from the region Piedmont in Italy.
Clear ruby with a slight garnet edge. Very clear and inviting nose, aromas of blackberries, liquorice and dark plums. Juicy on the palate, showing lots of ripe, sweet fruit, opens with finely meshed, well-integrated tannins, sweet texture.
