The red wine Roero Riserva Ròche d'Ampsèj DOCG, vintage 2006 from the winery Matteo Correggia has been rated in 2018 by Othmar Kiem, Simon Staffler with 95 Falstaff points. It is a wine made from the grape variety Nebbiolo from the region Piedmont in Italy.
Dark, almost impenetrable ruby red. On the nose, immediately very chocolatey, then sealing wax, and earthy and truffle tones, followed by notes of ground coffee. Enveloping and elegant on the palate, well-integrated tannins structure the tertiary aromas that continue from the nose onto the palate, long and multi-layered, neatly structured and long lasting, grippy until the finish.
