The red wine Passocalcara Rosso Riserva Sicilia DOC, vintage 2016 from the winery Musita has been rated in 2021 by Othmar Kiem und Simon Staffler with 90 Falstaff points. It is a wine made from the grape varieties Nero d’Avola, Syrah from the region Sicily in Italy.
Dark ruby with purple. In the nose with a clear focus on wood nuances, light malt, shows slight hints of dried figs. Full-bodied on the palate, with grippy tannins, lots of structure, builds up densely, with superficially tart savoury tones, somewhat loosely knit at the end, but lingers for a long time.
