The red wine Vigna Valferana Gattinara DOCG, vintage 2016 from the winery Azienda Vitivinicola Nervi has been rated in 2021 by Othmar Kien, Simon Staffler with 93 Falstaff points. It is a wine made from the grape variety Nebbiolo from the region Piedmont in Italy.
It has a vivid bright ruby colour. There are finely characterized aromas, with notes of anchovy, some saffron, and then nice raspberry. It displays a very good tension on the palate, with notable notes of a salty minerality, and it is expansive, with grippy fine-meshed tannins, and a long finish.
