The red wine Pozo Alto Rioja DOCa, vintage 2017 from the winery Olivier Rivière Vinos has been rated in 2021 by Ulrich Sautter with 96 Falstaff points. It is a wine made from the grape varieties Graciano, Tempranillo, Grenache from the region Rioja Alavesa in Spain.
Amarena cherry and shortbread, with chocolate on the nose. The palate has all the components, ripe acidity, mellow, juicy tannin grain, a very clear fruit profile that is still youthfully closed, but hints at complexity to come. It has density and breadth but also a transparent, quite light-footed structure.
