The red wine Gabaxo Rioja DOCa, vintage 2017 from the winery Olivier Rivière Vinos has been rated in 2021 by Ulrich Sautter with 91+ Falstaff points. It is a wine made from the grape varieties Grenache, Graciano, Tempranillo from the region Rioja Alavesa in Spain.
Very closed on the nose, with hints of bitter chocolate and herbs. Taut and full-bodied on the palate, slightly rough, a motif of lime minerality and a hint of green, dried tomato in the back aromas, lively acidity, needs a grilled lamb chop or something similarly robust to accompany it.
