The red wine Vignaferrovia Brunello di Montalcino Riserva DOCG, vintage 2016 from the winery Pian delle Vigne has been rated in 2022 by Othmar Kiem, Simon Staffler with 97 Falstaff points. It is a wine made from the grape variety Sangiovese from the region Tuscany in Italy.
Clear ruby with a slight garnet shimmer. Very intense and appealing nose of ripe plums, dark cherries and some tobacco. Powerful palate, but also polished and vivid with clear fruit, fine-meshed tannins in many layers, pulls through beautifully, with a long finish of ripe cherries.
