Deep dark ruby red with garnet. Aromas of blackcurrant cordial, leather. Delicate bloody-peppery components on the nose, then elderberries again, with a finish of precious oak and light malt. Opens dense and full-bodied on the palate, with a rich fruit texture and even creamy notes. Concentrated, powerful, then becomes somewhat rough in the back. Needs time.
