Tasting from 19.11.2021: Gerhild Burkard

Rich golden yellow with amber reflections. Intense nose that takes some getting used to, initially reductive, with airy hay, apple cider and dried walnut shell, fir honey and cumin, some cold smoke. Vinous, juicy, full-bodied palate with fine acidity, peppery spiciness and stewed quince on the aftertaste. Needs air. Very individual and polarising food wine. For natural wine lovers.
