The red wine Contrada Rampante Etna Rosso DOC, vintage 2016 from the winery Pietradolce has been rated in 2019 by Othmar Kiem, Simon Staffler with 93 Falstaff points. It is a wine made from the grape variety Nerello Mascalese from the region Sicily in Italy.
Clear ruby with a light rim. Appealing nose of ripe cherries and blackberries, as well as rhubarb. Textured, tightly woven tannins, multi-layered, still a bit rough on the finish.
