The red wine Pio Barolo DOCG, vintage 2021 from the winery Pio Cesare has been rated in 2025 by Othmar Kiem, Simon Staffler with 93 Falstaff points. It is a wine made from the grape variety Nebbiolo from the region Piedmont in Italy.
Light, medium ruby red colour with a brightening rim. The nose opens with redcurrant jelly, followed by a fine spiciness of wood and leather. Clear and straightforward on the palate, opens with fine-meshed tannins, very clear and precise, juicy fruit, good drive on the finish.
