The red wine Morellino di Scansano DOCG, vintage 2020 from the winery Poggio al Lupo has been rated in 2021 by Othmar Kiem und Simon Staffler with 91 Falstaff points. It is a wine made from the grape variety Sangiovese from the region Tuscany in Italy.
Powerful, bright ruby red. Pronounced aroma of small wild berries and sour cherries, paired with fine savouriness, black pepper, fleshy at the beginning. Spreads finely over the tongue, young interwoven tannins, very straightforward in the attack and finish, shows a certain dynamism, slightly salty on the finish.
