The red wine Morellino di Scansano DOCG, vintage 2021 from the winery Poggio al Lupo has been rated in 2022 by Othmar Kiem, Simon Staffler with 90 Falstaff points. It is a wine made from the grape variety Sangiovese from the region Tuscany in Italy.
Deep, glistening purple in colour. The nose opens fruitily with ripe sour cherry, before leading to a more savoury black pepper note. Velvety but fresh on the palate with fine, slightly grippy tannins. Overall, straightforward but with good flow through the palate.
