The red wine Capatosta Rosso Toscana IGT, vintage 2016 from the winery PoggioargentierA has been rated in 2019 by Othmar Kiem, Simon Staffler with 92 Falstaff points. It is a wine made from the grape varieties Sangiovese, Alicante Bouschet from the region Tuscany in Italy.
Intense bright ruby red colour. On the nose aromas of rum-steeped fruit, roasted nuts, bee honey and blackberry confit, it is a very complex bouquet. On the palate it is assertive and powerful, dominated by supple tannins with a velvety texture. On the back palate it is spicy and again gripping, and also slightly drying from a little too much oak use.
