Dark berries, smoky, blackberry confit, still closed overall - but with inklings of immense spice behind the fruit. The palate is filled to the brim with fine-grained tannins, enigmatic smoothness with rather mild acidity, a spicy finish that hints at the aromas of shrivelled berries, a powerful wine almost Amarone-style that will become more refined as the decades pass.
