The red wine Pyramid Valley Angel Flower Pinot Noir, vintage 2020 from the winery Pyramid Valley Vineyards has been rated in 2022 by Anne Krebiehl MW with 95 Falstaff points. It is a wine made from the grape variety Pinot Noir from the region North Canterbury in New Zealand.
Raspberry and tart mulberry come with lovely aromatic overtones of crushed nettle. The palate is just as aromatic on a body that is both translucent and concentrated. The fine tannins seem diaphanous and yet have a certain pleasant crunch. Freshness supports and illuminates the purity of the berry fruit. Utterly delicious and rather beguiling in it aroma and shape.
