Tasting Notes
Strong ruby garnet with a dark core and hints of ochre rim brightening. Nuances of ripe plums, black berry jam and figs on the nose with a pleasant savouriness and hints of fine nougat - a multi-faceted bouquet. Juicy and complex on the palate with pleasant extract sweetness, vivid tannins and a chocolaty hit on the finish. There's a salty minerality on show here also, and the wine lingers well. Finishes with a woody spice, a powerful food companion with a long future.
