The red wine Sousao, vintage 2017 from the winery Quinta do Vallado has been rated in 2019 by Peter Moser with 90 Falstaff points. It is a wine made from the grape variety Amaral from the region Douro in Portugal.
Dark ruby in colour with purple reflections, and subtle brightening on the rim. On the nose, dark berry fruit with delicate vegetal and floral undertones, and tobacco spice. The palate has medium complexity, with a red berry texture, fresh structure, and a saline-mineral finish with a hint of leafy savouriness.
