The sparkling wine Raventós i Blanc Textures de Pedra, vintage 2017 from the winery Raventós i Blanc has been rated in 2022 by Anne Krebiehl with 94 Falstaff points. It is a wine made from the grape varieties Xarel-lo, Sumoll, Bastardo Negro from the region Conca del Riu Anoia in Spain.
Intense notes of white currant, blossom honey, hay, dried lemon rind and ripe yellow plum make for a most complex nose. The palate has the same intensity of flavour and even stronger honey notes. The mousse is fine and fizzes steadily and gently. There is much concentration, a lovely stony, earthy depth that makes the expressive fruit on the palate even more intense. A lovely bitter edge sets accents of fir honey and leads to a most harmonious but bone dry, full-flavoured finish.
