The red wine Colledilà Chianti Classico Gran Selezione DOCG, vintage 2008 from the winery Ricasoli has been rated in 2012 with 93 Falstaff points. It is a wine made from the grape variety Sangiovese from the region Chianti classico in Italy.
Brilliant, intense ruby colour. Very intense and clear nose, lots of ripe raspberries, some cherries, very nice play. Very vivid on the palate, multi-layered, shows rich, ripe fruit, also beautiful freshness, with the typical juicy acidity of Chianti, then opens up with firm and polished tannins, good drive on the finish.
