Strong, sparkling ruby. Initially somewhat restrained on the nose, preserved cherries and plums, some tobacco. Emphasizes ripe fruit notes on the palate, blackberries and plums, then hearty, gripping tannins, builds up in layers, firm pressure on the finish, lots of cloves, salty.
