The red wine Südtirol Lagrein Riserva Manus DOC, vintage 2009 from the winery Ritterhof Weingut-Tenuta has been rated in 2013 with 90 Falstaff points. It is a wine made from the grape variety Lagrein from the region Alto Adige in Italy.
Rich, sparkling ruby-violet. A compact, dense nose reveals rich notes of blackberry and elderberry, with smoky, earthy undertones. Shows plenty of juicy fruit on the attack, opens up with hearty, dense tannins, is very smooth in the mid-palate, builds well, has rich intensity on the finish, and a slight hint of caramel in the aftertaste.
