The red wine Leon Riserva Barolo DOCG, vintage 2007 from the winery Rivetto dal 1902 has been rated in 2013 with 95 Falstaff points. It is a wine made from the grape variety Nebbiolo from the region Barolo in Italy.
Vivid rich ruby colour, with a slight garnet rim. Exciting and intense nose, aroma of leather, truffle, then also a lot of ripe plum compote, and some blueberry. Lots of grippy and dense tannins on the palate, emphatic salty notes, builds for a long time, plenty of ripe fruit too, very long finish.
