The red wine Pinot Noir trocken, vintage 2021 from the winery Rubens Wein has been rated in 2023 by Ulrich Sautter with 92 Falstaff points. It is a wine made from the region Baden-Wuerttemberg in Germany.
Some wood and smoke combine on the nose with raspberry and rosehip, red cherry, wild strawberry, herbal tea, essential oil, some liquorice and also peppermint. Starting with depth and sinewy tension on the palate, dense in fruit, underpinned with chalky minerality. The tight, ripe tannins feed the structure, some sour cherry, cherry and plum show, light tobacco. Nice spice, depth, consistent and good length.
