The red wine Wonger Rot Mitterberg IGT, vintage 2020 from the winery Schloss Plars has been rated in 2021 by Othmar Kiem und Simon Staffler with 90 Falstaff points. It is a wine made from the grape varieties Vernatsch, Blauburgunder from the region Alto Adige in Italy.
Brilliantly bright cherry red with a shimmering core. Intense aroma of red fruits, sour cherry and pomegranate, with sloe and a hint of pepper savouriness and a hint of rose hip. Animating, slightly sparkling on the palate, lots of juicy acidity, fine tannins, medium weight with good drinking flow and a fruity finish.
