The white wine »Drumlin« Müller-Thurgau trocken, vintage 2024 from the winery Schmidt am Bodensee has been rated in 2025 by Ulrich Sautter with 93 Falstaff points. It is a wine made from the grape variety Müller-Thurgau from the region Württemberg in Germany.
Subtle yeasty notes on the nose, apple peel, cornflower, dried mint and dried grass, mirabelle plums, wet stone, salted lemons. Juicy, pithy and taut on the palate, a fresh acidity, lively, a good salinity that whets the appetite, very inviting.
More about the tastingA hint of wood meets red berryish and floral aromas. There is also a "stony" note of damp gravel and seaweed. The palate is taut, juicy, hearty, fresh and carbonated, still very young overall and almost a little austere. Excellent length - and great potential!
