The white wine Chardonnay Formigar DOC, vintage 2014 from the winery Schreckbichl - Colterenzio has been rated in 2016 by Othmar Kiem with 90 Falstaff points. It is a wine made from the grape variety Chardonnay from the region Alto Adige in Italy.
Bright, rich straw yellow. Opens with fine smoky notes, some light caramel, roasted hazelnuts, then pineapple and ripe apple. Round and balanced on the palate, salty and profound, fine fruit, but then strongly characterized by wood on the finish, still needs ageing.
