The red wine Stara Brajda Rdeča, vintage 2018 from the winery Ščurek has been rated in 2023 by Peter Moser with 92 Falstaff points. It is a wine made from the grape varieties Cabernet Sauvignon, Cabernet Franc, Merlot, Refosco from the region Goriška Brda in Slovenia.
Intense ruby, purple reflections, subtle ochre brightening on the rim. Subtle herbal savouriness, wild red berries, plums, cassis, a touch of nougat and tobacco, candied orange zest. Juicy, sweet cherry, well-integrated tannins, good complexity and fine minerality on the finish. Already showing good development.
