The red wine Barolo DOCG Perno, vintage 2017 from the winery Sordo Giovanni has been rated in 2021 by Othmar Kiem, Simon Staffler with 92 Falstaff points. It is a wine made from the grape variety Nebbiolo from the region Barolo in Italy.
Bright ruby red with an orange brown rim. Peppery savouriness of thyme, dark wild berries and liquorice on the nose, with delicate smoke in the background. Lots of ripe fruit on the palate, fills out the palate, shows grip and dense, persistent tannins, goes onto the finish with tension.
