The red wine Oltre Rosso Friuli Colli Orientali DOC, vintage 2019 from the winery Specogna has been rated in 2023 by Othmar Kiem & Simon Staffler with 91 Falstaff points. It is a wine made from the grape varieties Refosco, Pignolo, Schioppettino from the region Friuli-Venezia Giulia in Italy.
Brilliant, dense ruby with fine garnet edge. Finely marked nose with notes of blackberryish and dark cherry, fine spicy notes in the background. Shows hearty, firm drive on the palate, lots of dark berryish fruit, then unfortunately also quite drying and harsh in the aftertaste.
