The white wine Johannisberg, vintage 2023 from the winery St. Jodern Kellerei has been rated in 2024 by Dominik Vombach und Benjamin Herzog with 90 Falstaff points. It is a wine made from the grape variety Grüner Sylvaner from the region Valais in Switzerland.
This has an intense nose, with aromas of pear, exotic fruit, and ripe citrus fruit, as well as tropical fruit nuances, and some ice candy. It is powerful on the palate, but also fresh thanks to some minerality and its restrained ripe acidity. There are flavours of ripe apple, and again citrus and tropical hints, and it lingers for a long time.
