The red wine Unico di Benedetta Terre Siciliane IGP, vintage 2017 from the winery Tenuta Benedetta has been rated in 2021 by Othmar Kiem und Simon Staffler with 91 Falstaff points. It is a wine made from the grape variety Sangiovese from the region Sicily in Italy.
Deep, dark ruby red. On the nose, notes of graphite, ripe cranberries, raspberry cordial, hints of plums and blackberries and a smoky, savoury finish. Juicy and vivid on the palate with pronounced fruit and tight tannins, nicely balanced, but unfortunately quite drying on the finish.
